Jetty is building the managed platform for agentic AI workflows: the infrastructure teams use to run, observe, evaluate, and improve AI agents in production. Early-stage, small, senior, moving fast.

The Role

You'll join at the founding phase, with broad scope across the entire engineering surface: the agentic platform, the product on top of it, and the foundations underneath it. This role is a chance to invent the systems that make agents reliable, observable, and trustworthy. The decisions you make will become Jetty's foundations, carrying forward into everything the company builds.

Responsibilities

• Build the core of the agentic platform: workflow execution and orchestration, evaluation, observability
• Own software end-to-end, from backend services and APIs (Python/FastAPI) through the frontend (Next.js/TypeScript) when the feature calls for it
• Shape agent skills, UX and developer-facing APIs
• Ship user-facing product with direct line of sight to growth and revenue, including the instrumentation and metering behind it
• Own production foundations: CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, environments, deployment, monitoring, alerting
• Build security and privacy in from the start
• Lead technical decisions and help define how an engineering team works in the agentic era: the practices, tooling, and culture of building software with agents alongside you

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of production systems
• Strong backend skills in Python or a comparable modern language; capable across the stack
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and the operational side of software: CI/CD, containers, IaC, observability, databases
• Genuine passion for AI and agentic systems
• Fast learner, intensely curious, pragmatic over perfect
• Comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of an early-stage team

Preferred

• Experience building agentic systems or LLM-powered products
• Familiarity with OpenAI-compatible APIs and multi-provider routing (OpenRouter or similar)
• Comfortable running software on managed cloud and serverless platforms, choosing infrastructure that keeps a small team fast
• Experience with evaluation pipelines, LLM observability, or AI developer tooling
• Prior early-stage startup experience
• Based in or near Montréal
